If you want your child to have the best possible chance of success put them in DIA and their outstanding IB PROGRAM.
Outstanding teachers and staff always ready to help and guide both students and parents along the way. Both my kids applied to 10 well known universities in the US/CANADA each and were accepted to all 10 with scholarships. This school pushes your kids to be the best they can be. The IB program is a tough one no doubt but well worth the work. Ms. Sippy will be there to guide you through the uni application process and you're always welcome to pop in for a chat with her. She is so warm and welcoming. Even after graduation she is ever willing to help with school documents etc. They now have 2 campuses too. One of the top IB schools in Dubai.
Its alright, there are better schools like DESC, JESS ETC. If you want to torture your child then this would be the perfect opportunity. Great pictures and reviews but we found rats and cockroaches in the school so as you would be able to tell, the hygiene is perfect. Email me for any more information. The school smells so horrible and the teachers are extremely rude, i once had to get into my car and lock myself due to a teacher trying to physically hurt me
As a student there I feel undervalued and neglected. I also feel like the school is extremly concerned about their image and 'maintaining their standards' (which are very unreasonable) that they do not care about their staff or students happiness or needs. I am very disappointed and I additionally feel like I could get an education at the same level in another institution which values their student body and faculty to a higher degree. The only reason I stay at this institution is because of my friends and favorite teachers which make the school less intolerable and the fact that I'm almost graduating and transfer at this time would be extremly disruptive to my education.
Our son attended this school for 2 years when he was 7&8 years old. He absolutely loved the teachers and any problems was attended to in a collaborative way by teachers and the principal. Amazing expat community.
came today to enroll our 3 children and get information, the admissions lady at the school reception was very unpleasant, offhand, and disrespectful. which gave us a very bad image of the school, if you don't like your job, leave your place you scare people away
Before you decide to go to this school, please read my review.
I am sorry for having to make this review. I am a former student, and I am extremely happy to say, former student. This school genuinely has no regard for the students. There were very few teachers who were genuinely nice and helpful. Every teacher makes you behave like a god in front of the KHDA. I've had 1 teacher who has told us to be us. I understand that money drives society, but money should not allow teachers to scream at students enough to make them cry (and yes I have seen it happen more than once). I was in this school for 7 whole years, I've seen it all. The teachers make you feel dumb if you get something wrong, they don't make you feel good if you get something right. You correct a teacher because they made a mistake, they make you feel guilty. They say they care, they say they will help you if you ask, but they just want to get it over with. They are there for the money.
Since then I have moved to a different IB school, in a different country. It treats me with respect, it makes me feel like apart of the school, not like some trash they can throw out any minute.
@Maya we too have experienced the same unprofessional behavior from the admin employee. She was impatient, some might see it rude. Such behavior made us rethink our decision, especially Dubai is full of options.
I was selecting school carefully and definitely DIA got few extra points.
1. DIA emirates hills - definitely great location ( there are few tricks for the parking and some ways to avoid traffic…one time I got 45 min for pick up and my motivation to find a faster found was very high).
2. Parents by parents recommended. I do look for curriculum and what schools offer, but the best way to actually know for what you sign up - ask parents that are currently at this school.
3. For KG 2 - this year we have Math, Arabic and Science. Also PE and swimming classes ( I really hope my kiddo finally will learn how to swim 😅)
4. Mother tongue - Italian ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That’s definitely not easy to find.
5. Price point - this school don’t change prices based if they got popular or trendy or something like that. Some school do, out of nowhere you get you fees increased.
Took a picture of there arts & crafts - it really looks cool.
