UAE and Russia Strengthen Economic Ties Ahead of Business Forum on December 10

Dubai is set to host the inaugural UAE–Russia Business Forum on December 10, marking a significant step in enhancing the economic relationship between the two nations as trade, investment, and technological collaboration continue to grow. The Russia–UAE Business Council, in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Marathon Investment Group, has announced the program and key participants for the event. This forum will coincide with the 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russia–UAE Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation, also taking place on the same day in Dubai. In recent years, the UAE and Russia have witnessed a notable expansion in their bilateral relations, characterized by a variety of joint projects in sectors such as manufacturing, transportation, logistics, agriculture, digital technologies, healthcare, and investment. This cooperation encompasses both traditional industries and emerging sectors, necessitating innovative collaborative frameworks. Russian officials have highlighted the UAE's growing importance as a key economic partner for Russia in the Middle East. The forum is seen as a pivotal opportunity to explore mutual investments and initiate joint projects, particularly in technological cooperation, while also addressing a broader range of economic sectors. The forum will feature prominent figures from both countries, including the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the UAE, the Russian Industry and Trade Minister, and the CEO of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, among others. A key session will focus on the "Architecture of Long-Term Growth," where strategies for unlocking economic potential will be discussed. Additionally, the forum will introduce an accelerator program aimed at fostering a growth ecosystem for Russian tech companies and startups in the UAE. A dedicated session will facilitate discussions among strategic investors and specialized funds, focusing on new tools to support collaborative projects and the establishment of a Russia–UAE investment platform. The business program will conclude with a panel addressing the future of trade and logistics between the two nations, emphasizing the development of bilateral export corridors and sustainable multimodal solutions.
