Bridge Project in Sharjah Aims to Enhance Traffic Flow

The emirate of Sharjah has officially approved a bridge project on Mleiha Road, with a budget of AED140 million, aimed at improving traffic movement at a crucial road junction. Construction is set to commence immediately, with an anticipated completion within one year. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, has endorsed this initiative as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the emirate's transportation infrastructure and alleviate congestion on busy roadways. The new bridge will establish a direct connection between Mleiha Road and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Bridge at the intersection with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street, facilitating smoother travel for motorists navigating between residential, commercial, and inter-emirate routes. Valued at approximately $38.1 million, the project is expected to improve traffic flow in all directions, potentially reducing travel times by around nine minutes.
